Summer Glow Edit
Sun-kissed skin that seems to glow from within
Summer is my favourite season for make-up. Or rather, for as little make-up as possible. When your skin is warm and a bit tanned, you just want to show off that glow, not cover it.
This edit has everything that makes skin glow: a hydrating serum, a skin-blurring base, a natural flush and a glossy lip oil. Together they give you that dewy, sun-kissed look that says holiday, even if you’re just on your way to work.
My tip: in summer, less really is more. Start with hydration. Well-hydrated skin catches the light all by itself and hardly needs any highlighter.
Make your summer glow last all day
Heat and sunscreen are make-up’s worst enemies. So after skincare and SPF, I always wait a few minutes before I start on my base. That way nothing slides around and it stays even.
Thin layers, not lots of product. Two sheer layers beat one heavy one. Shine is allowed in summer, on the cheekbones, the bridge of your nose and your lips. Only my T-zone gets a quick blot at lunchtime.
For the evening, I add a little blush and a touch of bronze on the lids. Two minutes, and your daytime glow turns into a warm summer-night look.
