My must-haves for fresh skin on the road
Travelling isn’t exactly kind to your skin. Dry cabin air, not much sleep, a different climate. So my travel edit is mostly about one thing: skincare first, make-up second.
I always pack a hydrating base and a rich cream, so my skin stays calm and plump even when travel gets stressful. Add a skin-blurring base and a nude lipstick, and that’s all you need to look fresh again after a long flight.
My tip: decant your favourites into little travel bottles or go for minis. You stay under the carry-on limit and still have everything your skin loves.
My travel routine, step by step
On the plane I wear almost no make-up, but lots of skincare. A hydrating serum and a rich cream keep my skin calm, even when the cabin air is really dry. Once I land, my skin is ready for a light base.
Once I’m there, a few products cover everything: a light base and mascara during the day, plus a nude lipstick at night. Pack less, and you pack faster, search less and have more time for the fun part of the trip.
Think about the weather too. Somewhere warm? Light textures and sun protection. Somewhere cold? A richer cream. That keeps your skin happy wherever you are.
